SOLENE

All I know is that the play had been well reproduced, I mean I think the play is loyal to the play written from Shakespeare. There's some differences and that's normal because we're not in the same age so people are looking for something more modern. And for a modern play, they had to put some modern touches from our time like musics, songs and dances. It helped me to follow the play because, sometimes it was difficult to understand with all the laughter around us. They used a boy to play the Elena's role, that means the scene when Elena kissed her husband in the end for her mariage, she (or rather he) kissed each others. That was really funny to see a boy act like a girl.

Also, it makes me laugh the way the fairy had to speak and to move around everybody like a real grasshopper.

To conclude, I'll say that the play was really funny but a little bit strange or maybe it's me ?

My impressions of the play are pretty good. I think the play was funny ( I don't have all understand during the play, but british people laughted all the time, so, the play looked funny ) by the jokes and by the play of comedians. Indeed the comedians was very expressive, so it added comic gesture and they was very energetic. Moreover, the decor was wonderful: there was lots of colors, lots of things to watch.

Then, I loved the choregraphies: it was energetic, bright and vibrant. I loved the eccentric side of English that is not found necessarily in France.

To conclude, I can said that it was modern, funny and the staging was really well made. It was a good theater play, and a good experience: it allowed me to discover a new way to stage classical plays, such as those of Shakespeare.
